Every great brand starts with a story. What inspired you to create your hair oil, and what problem were you hoping to solve?
 

After having my son, I breastfed for 20 months, and like many moms, I started experiencing postpartum hair breakage and excessive shedding. Watching my hair become dry, weak, and thinner than it had ever been was frustrating, and I couldn't find a product that gave me the confidence I was looking for. I wanted something made with ingredients I actually trusted.

 

I remembered that I already had several nourishing oils in my warehouse from creating my plant-based skincare products. That inspired me to research and source additional oils and herbs that I believed would work together to deeply moisturize the hair, nourish the scalp, and support healthier-looking hair over time. I carefully developed my own hair serum using plant-based ingredients because I wanted a formula I felt comfortable using on my own hair.

 

As I consistently used the serum, I began noticing my hair felt more moisturized, looked healthier, and the breakage became much more manageable. I was excited enough to share my experience with a close friend. After hearing about my results, she decided to try it herself, and she loved the difference it made for her hair too.

 

That was the moment I realized this wasn't just something I had created for myself—it was something that could help others who were struggling with dry, brittle, or damaged hair and looking for a nourishing, plant-based solution. What started as a personal journey to restore my own hair after postpartum became the inspiration behind offering my hair serum through Jaismadi Skin, with the hope of helping others feel confident in their hair care journey as well.

What makes Jaismadi Skin's Hair Revival Serum different is that it wasn't created in a lab to chase trends it was born from a real personal experience and a genuine need. After experiencing postpartum hair breakage from breastfeeding my son for 20 months, I wanted a product I could truly trust on my own hair. As a licensed aesthetician and founder of a plant-based skincare brand, I already understood the importance of quality ingredients. I began formulating a blend using nutrient-rich carrier oils and botanicals known for supporting a healthy scalp, helping reduce dryness, and minimizing breakage while promoting stronger, healthier-looking hair.

What are the key ingredients in your formula, and why did you choose them? We'd love to hear the science behind how they support healthy hair and scalp?
 

At Jaismadi Skin, every ingredient in our Hair Revival Serum was chosen with purpose. Instead of following trends or creating a formula around a single "hero" ingredient, I carefully selected a blend of plant-based carrier oils, essential oils, and botanical herbs that have long been recognized for their ability to nourish the hair and support a healthy scalp. When creating this formula, I wanted ingredients that did more than simply make hair look good. I chose them because of their many nourishing benefits and because I believe that what you put on your body is just as important as what you put in your body. Your scalp is skin, and many ingredients applied to the skin can be absorbed to some degree. That's why I was intentional about using plant-based ingredients that I felt confident applying to my own hair and scalp.

 

Together, these carefully selected oils and botanicals work in harmony to help moisturize dry hair, nourish the scalp, minimize breakage, improve softness and shine, and support stronger, healthier-looking hair over time. My goal was never to create just another hair oil. I wanted to create a formula made with ingredients I trusted one that reflected my commitment to holistic, plant-based self-care and gave others confidence in what they're using on their hair and scalp.

 

Hair growth can mean different things to different people. From your perspective, how does a healthy scalp contribute to stronger, healthier hair, and where does your oil fit into that process?
 

To me, healthy hair begins with a healthy scalp. Just like healthy soil helps a plant grow and thrive, your scalp creates the foundation for your hair. When your scalp is properly nourished and moisturized, your hair has a better environment to become stronger, healthier-looking, and more resilient over time.

 

That's where our Hair Revival Serum fits into the process. It's designed to help nourish the scalp while replenishing moisture to dry, brittle hair. I intentionally developed this formula to be inclusive because healthy hair isn't limited to one curl pattern, ethnicity, or hair type everyone deserves access to nourishing, plant-based hair care.

What has been the biggest lesson you've learned since launching your business?
 

The biggest lesson I've learned since launching Jaismadi Skin is that building a business is just as much about personal growth as it is about creating products. Entrepreneurship has taught me patience, resilience, and the importance of staying true to my purpose even when the journey doesn't always move as quickly as I imagined.

 

When I first started, I was creating products because I genuinely wanted better options for myself and my family. My Hair Revival Serum came from my own postpartum experience and searching for something I could trust. What I didn't realize at the time was that my personal solution could become something that would help others on their own journeys.

 

One of the biggest lessons has been understanding that people don't just connect with a product they connect with the story, the intention, and the person behind it. Every product I create carries a piece of my journey, my values, and the example I want to set for my son. I want him to see that with faith, dedication, and consistency, you can turn an idea into something meaningful.

 

I've also learned that growth takes time. Building a brand, gaining trust, and creating something that truly resonates with people doesn't happen overnight. It requires listening, adapting, continuing to learn, and never losing sight of why you started.

 

The greatest lesson has been realizing that Jaismadi Skin is bigger than skincare and hair care it's about creating a legacy. It's about showing my son that challenges can become opportunities, and that something created from love and purpose has the power to impact others.

 

If someone is sitting on an idea but keeps waiting for the "perfect time" to start, what would you tell them?
 

If someone is sitting on an idea waiting for the "perfect time" to start, I would tell them that the perfect time usually doesn't exist. Sometimes you have to be willing to start with what you have, learn along the way, and trust that clarity comes through action.

 

When I started Jaismadi Skin, I didn't have everything figured out. I created something for myself because I wanted a product I could trust. I didn't know at the time that my personal solution would grow into a brand that could help others. Creating Jai Smadi Skin care products and Jai Smadi Revival Hair Serum was not products that I created with the intent to sell, they were created as a way for me to find out how to get back to who I was after life experiences.

 

One of the biggest things I've learned is that waiting until everything is perfect can keep you from ever starting. Your first version may not be your final version, and that's okay. Growth comes from taking that first step, being open to learning, and continuing to improve. I would also remind them to remember their "why." When your purpose is bigger than just yourself, it gives you the strength to keep going when things get challenging. For me, my son is a huge part of my motivation. Everything I build is a reflection of the example I want to set for him to show him that dreams can become reality when you have faith, determination, and the courage to begin.

 

Start before you're ready. Take the step, learn as you go, and allow your vision to grow with you. Sometimes the thing you create out of a challenge in your own life can become the very thing that helps someone else.

Where do you see your brand one year from now, and what's next for your business?

One year from now, I see Jaismadi Skin continuing to grow from a small, purpose-driven brand into a company that can reach and impact people on a much larger scale. My vision is to expand our ability to mass produce our products while still maintaining the quality, intention, and plant-based values that the brand was built on. As the brand grows, I also want to continue expanding our product line, building meaningful partnerships, and creating a community centered around self-care, wellness, and embracing your natural beauty.

 

My goal is to make Jaismadi Skin products more accessible so that more people can experience the benefits of holistic, ingredient-conscious skincare and hair care. I want our Hair Revival Serum and future products to reach customers across the country and eventually around the world helping people feel confident in what they are using on their skin and hair.

What is one misconception people have about healthy hair or hair growth that you wish more people understood?

One misconception I wish more people understood about healthy hair is that hair growth is not just about finding a "miracle" product. Healthy hair starts with consistency, patience, and taking care of the foundation which is your scalp.Many people focus only on what they see on the outside, but the health of your scalp plays an important role in the overall appearance and strength of your hair. Just like a plant needs healthy soil to grow, your hair needs a nourished environment to thrive. Proper moisture, gentle care, and using ingredients that support your hair care routine can make a meaningful difference over time.

 

Healthy hair isn't about chasing quick fixes it's about building habits, nourishing yourself from the inside out, and using products that align with your values and your body's needs. What does wellness mean to you personally, and how does your hair oil support the connection between beauty, confidence, and self-care?

To me, wellness is about caring for yourself as a whole mind, body, and spirit. It’s about being intentional with what you put into your body, what you put on your body, and the habits you create that support your overall well-being.

 

As a mother, wellness has taken on an even deeper meaning for me. I want to be the best version of myself not only for me, but for my son. Everything I create and every choice I make is an example he gets to witness. I want him to see the importance of self-care, confidence, and taking care of yourself with love and intention.

 

My Hair Revival Serum represents that connection between beauty and wellness because hair care is more than just appearance it’s about how you feel when you look in the mirror.
